Job summary
DelDOT is seeking a candidate for community engagement and volunteer coordination with the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve. Responsibilities include developing outreach materials, managing social media content, and supervising volunteers. Applicants must have experience in communications or public relations, and be at least 18 years old. This is a Casual/Seasonal position, which is non-pension eligible without benefits, based in Delaware.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age required.
One year’s experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related fields.
One year’s experience in supervising groups, staff or volunteers.
Six months experience in narrative report writing.
Knowledge of public speaking or interpretation.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
Coordinate community engagement and volunteer management for DNERR.
Develop print materials and social media content.
Assist with graphic design of brochures and flyers.
Supervise and manage volunteers.
Maintain a positive attitude in work.
