DE is seeking a Community Relations Officer in Dover, Delaware. This role supports outreach initiatives and public engagement across Delaware. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and capable of participating in various community events. Responsibilities include translating, event coordination, and fostering relationships with diverse communities.
This Casual/Seasonal position does not offer healthcare benefits but allows you to make a meaningful impact through public relations.
As a Community Relations Officer, you will work closely with the Division’s Community Relations Coordinator to support outreach initiatives, share agency resources, and strengthen public engagement throughout the State of Delaware. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, culturally aware, and comfortable interacting with diverse communities in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities include serving as a public-facing translator at community events, assisting with event coordination and outreach activities, distributing educational materials, and helping foster positive relationships between the agency and the public. Evening and weekend availability may be required based on outreach event schedules. Travel to events will be required; access to State Fleet Services will be provided.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Community Relations Officer
This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
