The Coastal Programs Section of the Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy serves as the Department’s research, education, and policy lead for coastal and ocean issues. It manages Delaware’s federal coastal zone and balances the use and protection of its resources through integrated efforts of the Delaware Coastal Management Program and Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve.
This position is responsible for community engagement, volunteer coordination and communication for the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve (DNERR). Duties include community outreach and events, developing print materials, social media content, etc. and volunteer program management. Night and weekend work is required.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non‑pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits. All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
