Job summary

The City of St. Augustine Beach is seeking an experienced city manager to guide one of Northeast Florida’s most respected beach communities into its next chapter.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, visionary, and committed to transparent public service. With eight years of executive leadership in municipal government, proven budgeting and intergovernmental skills, and a track record of servant-leadership, you will lead a high-performing organization and manage capital projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years of executive leadership experience in municipal or county government with supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in municipal finance, budgeting, and organizational management.
• Proven integrity and meaningful accomplishments in public service.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and organizational direction.
• Oversee budgeting, long-range financial planning, and capital improvement planning.
• Manage personnel and staff development.
• Lead intergovernmental relations and partnership development.
• Implement policy and drive organizational performance.
• Advance economic development and community engagement.
• Identify operational efficiencies and innovate public service delivery.
