Job summary

Riviera Beach House, located in Santa Barbara, seeks a detail‑oriented housekeeper to maintain clean public areas, guestrooms, and exterior spaces. You will handle laundry distribution, assist with linens, and support the maintenance team with minor repairs, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.

The role requires reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work across indoor and outdoor hotel spaces, with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in housekeeping, hospitality, facilities, or a related role.
• Basic cleaning skills and a strong eye for detail.
• Comfortable working across indoor and outdoor hotel areas.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and use good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, public areas, and common spaces.
• Remove trash and cigarette butts from hotel grounds and keep outdoor areas looking their best.
• Clean lobbies, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, and other high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior windows, guestroom doors, sliding glass doors, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain pool furniture, ice and vending machines, public benches, exterior light fixtures, sand urns, and dumpster areas.
• Run laundry and assist with distributing or handling linens as needed.
• Empty Housekeeping trash and support Room Attendants with daily housekeeping needs.
• Shampoo carpets and turn mattresses as assigned.
• Report maintenance concerns, damage, and missing or found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist the Maintenance team with basic repairs, including minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Safely use approved cleaning products and equipment.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow team members.
• Support other departments and hotel team members wherever needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property.
