NY Renews is seeking a motivated organizer to lead statewide coalition organizing, engage member groups, and drive campaign planning and execution. The role includes supervising regional organizers, coordinating with the Steering Committee, and supporting Indigenous Solidarity priorities.

Ideal candidates have at least four years of organizing experience, strong planning skills, and a commitment to climate justice and equity.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills; strong facilitation and/or training skills.
• Ability to build trust with diverse partners and communities.
• Experience organizing campaigns across legislative, labor, or social justice work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines without sacrificing detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively, including in urgent moments.
• Capable of end-to-end project management and coordination.
• A strong racial justice lens and experience with communities of color.
• Commitment to social, economic, racial, and climate justice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite.

Responsabilités

• Organize and engage NY Renews member organizations and oversee actions and mobilizations.
• Supervise and support regional organizers and coordinate with Steering Committee.
• Develop and implement campaign plans and manage day-to-day coalition activities.
• Build relationships with member groups, recruit new members, and coordinate across campaigns.
• Lead planning for lobby days, rallies, hearings, and direct actions.
• Maintain membership lists and records of engagement.
• Help design trainings and materials for campaign objectives.
