Job summary

Fort Bend Regional Council On Subst is seeking a Coalition Data Specialist to support grant-funded initiatives, with emphasis on program coordination, data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting. The role collaborates closely with the Coalition Director to ensure deliverables are tracked and documented effectively.

Under the direction of the Coalition Director, you will collect and analyze program data, develop summaries, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual grant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education or related field.
  • Experience with data collection, spreadsheets, program evaluation, research, or grant reporting preferred.
  • Experience working with community programs, youth, schools, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of substance use prevention, public health, or behavioral health preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team.

  • Develop spreadsheets, tables, charts, and other summaries to communicate program and community data.
  • Work collaboratively with the Coalition Director and other coalition staff to coordinate prevention activities, events, and community outreach.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Coalition Data Specialist Reports To: Coalition Director Status: In-Person, Full-Time, 40 hours/week; occasional evenings and weekends

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

The Fort Bend Community Prevention Coalition (FBCPC) brings together schools, businesses, health care providers, faith-based organizations, law enforcement, social service agencies, and other community partners to prevent and reduce youth substance use and promote healthy, safe communities. The Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. (FBRC) serves as the Coalition’s fiscal agent.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Coalition Director, the Coalition Data Specialist supports grant-funded initiatives, with an emphasis on program coordination, data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting. The position works closely with the Coalition Director and other coalition staff to ensure grant activities and deliverables are implemented, tracked, and documented effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Track grant objectives, activities, deliverables, performance measures, and deadlines.

Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports and supporting documentation.

Assist with surveys, community assessments, data collection tools, and evaluation activities.

Develop spreadsheets, tables, charts, and other summaries to communicate program and community data.
