Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional formal education in math and science preferred.
• Two years of prior experience in coal-fired power plant operations preferred.
• Three years of experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
• Must complete Heavy Equipment and Equipment Operator training.
• Must complete Plant Operator 1 training for Power Block or FGD and EPF plant site area systems.
• Ability to understand and interpret manuals related to operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of procedures, regulations, and operations in a large coal power plant.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow Plant LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe operation and feedback on equipment conditions.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment and lubricate as required.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and accurate logs.
• Communicate equipment status to plant staff and take corrective actions.
