fccenvironmental is seeking a plant operator to monitor and maintain air pollution control and ash handling systems at a Fort Lauderdale facility. You will perform inspections, adjustments, and routine maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of power plant experience, with mechanical aptitude and the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years working in a power plant operation or related experience.
• Knowledge of steam generating power plant operations is expected.
• Mechanical abilities to perform basic maintenance and component replacement.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and inspect APC and ash handling system components for safe, compliant operation.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping of system components and conveyors.
• Document shift activities, log data, and communicate system status to the supervisor.
• Adjust and service APC and ash handling components to maintain performance and permit compliance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Work with maintenance to resolve issues and replace worn parts.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and participate in training programs.
