  • Department: Honda Employee Wellness and Occupational Health Clinic
  • Schedule: 10:30am - 7pm
  • Facility: Ascension Medical Group - Clinic
  • Location: Greensburg, IN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Conditioning & Training: Develop job-specific conditioning programs to improve strength, endurance, and physical readiness for plant tasks, including lifting, repetitive motions, and posture.
  • Injury Prevention & Ergonomics: Lead injury prevention initiatives, focusing on proper body mechanics and techniques to reduce strain and injury risk.
  • Assessments & Progress Tracking: Conduct fitness assessments to tailor programs to employee needs and monitor progress over time.
  • Collaboration & Support: Coordinate with athletic trainers, healthcare providers, and others to promote a team approach to strength and conditioning development.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive instruction on human performance as it relates to all aspects of strength and conditioning.

  • Develop and design plans to improve athletic performance, developing speed, strength, power and endurance in accordance with sport.
  • Implement strength and conditioning programs in consideration of sports performance curriculum.
  • Provide compliant strength and conditioning education and information to athletes, coaches and clients.
  • Coordinate communication with athletes, agents, sport coaches, athletic trainers, healthcare providers, and others to promote a team approach to athlete strength and conditioning development.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention, ergonomics, and physical conditioning methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees at all levels.
