Job Description
Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Remote | Supporting our Gainesville, GA Branch | Book Focus: Franchised Dealerships, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cyber

About the Role:

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work with minimal guidance from an Account Manager (AM), Account Executive (AE), or Producer, ensuring standards are met while safeguarding against errors and omissions. Independently resolve moderately complex customer service issues and manage smaller or less complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Competence: Maintain industry expertise.
  2. Team Leadership: Assist in directing daily activities of support staff.
  3. Customer Service: Handle requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  4. Policy Management: Manage expirations and renewals.
  5. Renewal Process: Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, analyze loss runs, prepare submissions, evaluate coverages and pricing, present proposals, bind coverage, and follow up.
  6. Task Processing: Complete tasks accurately and timely.
  7. Contract Review: Assist in reviewing contracts for proper coverages.
  8. Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  9. System Maintenance: Keep agency management systems and carrier platforms updated.
  10. Activity Monitoring: Ensure timely task completion.
  11. Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the team.
  12. Service Excellence: Deliver proactive and responsive service.
  13. Policy Compliance: Stay updated on policies and procedures.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Seek best practices for performance enhancement.
  15. Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  1. 7+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
  2. Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  3. Active licensing; professional designation preferred.
  4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  7. High School Diploma or equivalent.
