Job description

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Responsibilities include store tours and feedback (Tour-to-Teach), communicating and collaborating across all levels regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions. Models exceptional customer service following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manages customer service initiatives, resolves customer issues, and develops action plans for improvement. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company's mission and values, fostering a culture of integrity and respect.

Walmart offers competitive pay, performance bonuses, and benefits including health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, disability insurance, discounts, and educational programs like Live Better U. The hourly wage range is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional bonuses and location-based pay zones.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For stores selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For stores selling ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must complete all required training and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs. Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
