Columbus Youth Academy in Tampa, FL is seeking a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor) to provide 24-hour supervision and support for male youth in a residential setting. You will monitor behaviors and mentor youths during activities across a 12-hour shift schedule.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Coach Counselor for the Columbus Youth Academy.

Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program.

Pay : $19.00 / Hr

What you will do: As a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor), you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time, and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered, you should: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, have one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position, or 60 hours of college education, and possess a valid Driver’s License.

Schedule: Our Youth Care Workers work 12-hour shifts.
