Job summary

Linde Inc. in Carson, CA seeks a Plant Operator to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Long Beach and El Segundo CO2 plants.

This full-time role requires following Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout procedures, and coordinating with a team to prioritize and complete activities with minimal supervision. You will support both facilities, participate in training and LMS/OJT, monitor KPIs, adjust process controls, ensure product quality, and conduct daily rounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in a continuous chemical operations environment.
• Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate Long Beach and El Segundo CO2 plants safely and reliably.
• Follow Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes and regulations.
• Support both facilities as part of a full-time Southern California role.
• Assist training and development of new employees and complete LMS training modules and OJT.
• Monitor KPIs and adjust controls to maintain flows, pressures, and purities.
• Understand P&IDs and control loop input-output logic to maintain product quality.
• Conduct daily plant rounds and maintain building, grounds, and equipment.
• Coordinate contractor activities when required.
