Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Co-Worker Health Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our Employee Health team on a PRN basis. You will support occupational health programs, employee wellness initiatives, regulatory compliance, and workplace injury management.

This role offers a flexible PRN schedule; requires a Missouri RN or LPN license and current BLS. Prior hospital/occupational health experience is preferred to promote co-worker safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (RN or LPN).
• Current Missouri RN or LPN license.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in hospital, occupational health, or clinical setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a health resource for co-workers throughout their employment.
• Complete pre-employment health screenings, including drug screens, medical history reviews, and immunization verification.
• Administer and manage TB screening programs and respirator fit testing.
• Support annual influenza vaccination efforts and other immunization programs.
• Educate co-workers on vaccine benefits, contraindications, side effects, and precautions.
• Provide first aid and follow-up care for work-related injuries.
• Collaborate with managers to facilitate return-to-work plans and workers' compensation processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements and maintain confidential employee health records.
