Title:Floating Teacher

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45 am - 3:15 pm
Job Objective:
Implements lesson plans prepared by the absent teacher. Duties require traveling to teaching assignments throughout the NwOESC service area. Fulfills short- or long-term teaching assignments, based on organizational priorities and staffing needs.
Note: Employees must obtain training and maintain skills to fulfill compliance requirements applicable to the position as required by board policy and state/federal law.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintains a thorough understanding of subject matter and pedagogy.
Note: Employees may be required to perform ancillary duties assigned to the absent employee.
2. Exemplifies professionalism to enhance NwOESC and member district public images.
3. Maintains open/effective communications. Serves as a reliable information resource.
4. Pursues opportunities to enhance personal performance.
5. Keeps current with emergency management plan procedures.
6. Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
Performance Evaluation: Employee performance is evaluated according to applicable law, board policies, contractualagreements and service center administrative procedures.

LOCATION: School districts in the NwOESC Service area (Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and/or Williams Counties)- TBD

SALARY:Based on the adopted salary schedule and the candidate’s experience.
BENEFITS: Paid sick and personal leave, with health, dental, vision, and life insurance available to employees working 25 hours or more per week. Membership in the State Teachers’ Retirement System is included.
