Job summary

The counselor will ride with the Metro Nashville Fire Department, provide support on mental health calls, perform assessments, and connect individuals with ongoing resources, while ensuring thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
• Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation.
• Personal Automobile Insurance.
• "F" Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis assessment and crisis intervention to address psychiatric emergencies.
• Provide immediate mental health support and coordinate consumer care.
• Ride along with Nashville Fire Department and respond to mental health calls.
• Make appropriate referrals when hospitalization is necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and document per guidelines.
• Coordinate with REACH, CIT Co-response, and Mobile Crisis for follow-up.
