Full Time or Part Time: FULL TIME
This position primarily provides project management and oversight for environmental remediation projects within the Office of Remediation Programs: Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP), RCRA Corrective Action, Superfund, and Federal Facilities. Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia.
The position responsibilities are to provide technical support for groundwater monitoring programs at hazardous waste management facilities and other projects as assigned. Reviews and processes complex technical, program- and project-specific documents including work plans, reports, conceptual site models, studies, final remedy decisions, and implementation plans. Oversees site characterization, remedy implementation, and response actions, and monitors progress towards completion. Ensures the project elements are in accordance with technical and program requirements, best engineering practices, established guidelines and policies, and applicable laws and regulations. The position applies pollution prevention technology where possible, promotes efficacy of final remedy decisions, and works with project stakeholders to resolve regulatory and technical issues efficiently, openly, fairly, and consistently.
