Job summary

Wabtec's Evident Inspection Technologies division (State College, PA) invites a co-op student to support the Transducer PENG team. The role centers on testing, with opportunities in assembly and production tasks.

You will lead a project, assist in new test systems, and collaborate with multiple departments to improve processes. Eligible students are pursuing BS or MS in physics, engineering science, mechanical, industrial, electrical, robotics, or CS.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in physics or an engineering discipline (year varies).
• Rising freshman to senior must be able to graduate within program windows.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned project from start to completion during co-op term.
• Assist test engineering in evaluating and developing new test systems.
• Support production engineering with time studies and work instructions.
• Coordinate with assemblers and test technicians to update test plans.
• Improve existing test programs or develop new features.
• Analyze manufacturing data using Excel and Power BI.
• Create/update documentation for standard work and procedures.
• Study test processes and suggest Lean improvements.
