Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Co-Op System Engineer to join the Site Operations team at customer locations. You will support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of robotic material handling systems while gaining hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, robotics, and software components.

You will shadow seasoned engineers, analyze system data, and contribute to resolving operational issues in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Foundational knowledge of robotics and automation.
Interest in real-world site operations and data-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

Monitor system health and troubleshoot operational issues across mechanical, electrical, robotics, and software domains.
Shadow experienced System Engineers and support site tickets and activities.
Analyze alarms, performance metrics, and data to identify trends and improvements.
Document issues clearly and communicate with site teams and engineers to implement solutions.
Assist with escalations for production-impacting problems and coordinate follow-up actions to resolution.
Own a continuous improvement project using site data to address recurring needs and measure results.
