Job summary

GAF is offering a co-op opportunity for students in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. The role focuses on quality assurance of raw materials, root-cause investigations, and collaborative problem solving within a multi-disciplinary team.

Assignments are full-time for defined terms (Spring 2027 and possibly Summer/Spring terms). Candidates must maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA and be pursuing an engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA and at least sophomore standing.
• Strong problem solving, project management and communication skills; ability to work in a team.
• Ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.
• Experience with Google Workspace and basic MS Visio/AutoCAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material quality assurance activities and material performance.
• Conduct problem solving investigations and troubleshoot to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Support quality improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal teams.
• Provide technical support and analytical analysis for material issues.
• Engage in data flow diagrams and technical diagram work.
