Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Software Test Engineer Co-op in Danvers, MA, to join the Software Engineering (RLM) team. You will work on end-to-end testing of medical device software using Pytest and in-house tools, gaining hands-on experience in testing strategies while supporting high-quality releases.

Ideal candidates are juniors, seniors, or grads pursuing CS/CE/Electronics with familiarity in databases, programming languages, and Git.

Qualifications

Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Pytest is essential.
Experience with SQL-based databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in at least one language (C, Rust, Python, or JavaScript).
Version control with Git and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for medical device software.
Collaborate with developers to design comprehensive test plans.
Identify, document, and track defects and work with teams to resolve them.
Participate in code reviews and ensure quality and standards.
Perform manual and automated testing for functionality, performance, and security.
Generate test reports and provide insights for improvements.
Contribute to improving testing processes and stay current with tools.
