Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in Atlanta to contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of mechanical systems enabling warehouse automation. You will work with experienced engineers and gain practical experience building components used in advanced automation technologies.

You will develop CAD models, assist in prototypes, perform analyses, and collaborate across software, electrical, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Completed coursework in mechanics, machine design, materials, manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Inventor, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Must not require visa support to work in the USA.

  • Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
  • Document test results, design changes, and engineering findings.
  • Follow engineering standards, processes, and best practices.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of mechanical systems that enable warehouse automation and customer operations. During this experience, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain practical experience developing components and systems used in advanced automation technologies. This role offers the opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals to real-world product development challenges while building technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
