Job summary

Valeo is seeking motivated CO-OP/Internship candidates for its MRO team in Texas. The role offers hands-on maintenance experience on production equipment and training in preventive maintenance within a leading automotive supplier.

You will assist technicians, diagnose basic issues, maintain records, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining practical skills in mechatronics and automation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a technical degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in industrial automation, machinery, and maintenance processes.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and/or pneumatic principles.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a plus.
• Availability for a full-time CO-OP/Internship/VIE period.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with routine preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues under supervision.
• Participate in the repair and replacement of faulty components, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support the MRO team in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment performance.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
• Gain exposure to various manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks to enhance practical skills and knowledge.
