Job summary

ICL seeks a clinical position focused on serving individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. The role involves counseling residents in residential and non-residential settings, conducting assessments, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of substance abuse counseling concepts and methods.
• Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Ability to work with individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Ability to document accurately and promptly in client records.

Responsibilities

• Counsel residents individually and in groups to address alcohol and drug dependency.
• Maintain treatment plans and progress notes in residents' charts.
• Conduct symptom assessments and provide supportive services.
• Refer residents to medical, social, and employment services as needed.
• Monitor urine and alcohol testing; train staff in testing procedures.
