Job summary

SpectraCare is seeking a Director for the CoOccurring program at the Midland City location. The role plans, designs, and supervises operations to deliver quality substance use and mental health services in coordination with policy and regulatory standards.

The position requires overseeing admissions, treatment planning, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance, with on-call and after-hours responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Master\'s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related behavioral health field.
• Substance use counselor certification credential from a recognized body (AL or equivalent).
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in substance use.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs staff for the CoOccurring program, including day treatment, transportation, and safety.
• Ensures compliance with Alabama Administrative Code, CMS, HIPAA, and other regulatory entities.
• Oversees program budgets and reporting to stay within financial parameters.
• Provides assessments and therapeutic services for clients, including individual/group psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
• Maintains program records, policies, and communication with community agencies and stakeholders.
• Coordinates with management on substance use treatment and aftercare planning.
• Provides linkage to community resources (DHR, Probation, Court Referral, AA/NA).
• Travels within and beyond the catchment area as needed and supports on-call coverage.
