Job summary

Qualifications

• QMHP requires master's in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling in Missouri or equivalent credentials.
• One year of training or supervised experience in substance use disorder treatment; if less than one year, twenty-four (24) hours of training in co-occurring disorders content and supervision from experienced staff as approved by the Dept of Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Conducts client assessments, identifies problems, screens for co-occurring disorders, and develops treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment teams.
• Identifies stages of change and appropriate interventions for clients.
• Ensures that all required progress notes and documentation are completed within established timeframes and according to quality standards.
• Provides individual and group counseling sessions and group education services.
• Assists clients with accessing community resources and services, and accompanies clients when necessary.
• Facilitates continuity of care between programs and aftercare through case management, counseling, and follow up.
