Job summary

The CADC/LCADC Credentialed Counselor joins Straight and Narrow’s treatment team in Paterson, NJ serving residential and outpatient programs. The role provides individual, group and family counseling, case management, and supports clients on caseload to meet licensing standards.

Regular salary is $28.00-30.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, life, 403B with employer matching, PTO, and in-house training. Opportunities for licensure supervision are available.

Qualifications

• HS/AA/BA/BS or MA/MSW degree with CADC/LCADC requirement.
• 1-3 years’ experience in addictions or mental health field.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family counseling; didactics; treatment planning and case management as per licensing standards.
• Maintain clinical portion of clients’ charts per DMHAS and CARF guidelines; keep documentation up to date.
• Attend MDT meetings and present information for Treatment Plans and Reviews.
• Attend supervision with Clinical Supervisor as scheduled.
• Provide referrals to health, psychiatric, vocational rehab and public assistance for ongoing care.
