Job summary

Diesel Barbershop Katy is hiring a working Co-Manager licensed barber or stylist who leads from the chair. You will cut hair, build client relationships, and support shop operations and team development. This is a working leader role, not booth rental.

You’ll oversee grooming services, coach staff on performance metrics, and help with hiring and training. Availability during shop hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Active Barber or Cosmetology license in State.
• Proven skill in men's cuts, fades, and razor work.
• Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred.
• Available nights and weekends.
• Must be available during shop open hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform men's haircuts, fades, beard trims, and straight razor shaves.
• Build client relationships to drive rebooking and retention.
• Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and work ethic.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Coach staff on performance metrics (rebooking rate, average ticket, retail sales).
• Enforce standards and procedures (service steps, appearance, cash handling, phone etiquette).
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, and end-of-day procedures.
• Handle client concerns professionally.
