Journeys in Houma, LA is seeking a Store Leader to assist in recruiting, hiring, and training store personnel while driving sales and ensuring asset protection. This role supports the Store Manager and Manager in Training in daily operations and coaching the team to meet performance goals.

The position emphasizes high-energy customer service, teamwork, and a commitment to Journeys’ culture. Night and weekend shifts are required in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs.
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing policies.
• Ensure initiatives are implemented per company direction.
• Recognize staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise daily store operations in absences of Store Manager.
• Supervise Loss Prevention practices in absences of Store Manager.
• Communicate store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training.
• Resolve customer issues effectively and provide a full service experience.
• Demonstrate Journeys culture to the team.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn and complete training toward Co-Manager.
