Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a Co-Curricular Nurse (Licensed, Non-Certified) at Upper Moreland Middle School to provide nursing services for assigned students in co-curricular activities. The role reports to Athletics & Student Activities Administrator/Director of Special Education.

Responsibilities include maintaining health records, dispensing medications, and serving as liaison with parents and staff.

Position: Co-Curricular Nurse (Licensed, Non-Certified)

Department: Assigned Building/Student, Upper Moreland Middle School

Reports to: Athletics & Student Activities Administrator/ Director of Special Education

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Schedule: Part- Time, 3 hours/day twice/week in the evening, possible weekend up to 10 hours/day on Saturdays, 10 Months

Summary

Responsible for providing nursing services to assigned student(s) in the co-curricular activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

• Maintain health and nursing services records for student(s)
• Identify school health problems and inform staff members and administration as necessary
• Dispense prescribed medication and health services as directed by a physician order
• Provide care for first aid, accidents, and illnesses
• Complete state required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Serve as the liaison between parent(s) and the district on all health related matters related to assigned student(s)
• Other duties as assigned by administration

• LPN or RN active PA license is required.
• CPR/First Aid active certification is required.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

• Must have the ability to report to work based on the needs of the student(s) participating in the co-curricular activity
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
• Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.
