Job summary

Sofidel America, based in Las Vegas, seeks a CNV Production Engineer to support the Plant Manager in achieving efficiency and quality targets across production and maintenance activities.

The role focuses on ensuring safety, energy optimization, cost control, and coordination with multiple departments to drive continuous improvement in a converting/paper manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical) preferred.
• Experience in a paper mill or with converting equipment preferred.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing operations and perform capacity analysis to identify obstructions.
• Promote a safe working environment.
• Strong technical fundamentals with converting engineering skills.
• Knowledge in MS Office, ERP, and Manufacturing System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure productive, quality, and cost-effective aims in line with safety, environment, and product safety policies.
• Support budget proposals related to production and maintenance costs.
• Coordinate multiple departments to maximize productivity and service to clients.
• Check and manage production and maintenance costs.
• Guarantee proper maintenance of plants and energy/material usage optimization.
• Review production reports and collaborate with CTO area for continuous improvement.

Position Overview

Sofidel America of Las Vegas Blvd is currently seeking a CNV Production Engineer . We are searching for a candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long-term role in a stable environment. Yourexpertisewill make you an important part of our team!

The CNV Production Engineer will support the Plant Manager in order to ensure the achievement of efficiency and quality aims related to industrial activities in accordance with the Group’s policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the achievement of productive, quality and cost-effective aims established in full compliance with:
• provisions and policies in matters of safety, environment and product’s safety
• ISO 9001 Quality System
• Support the relationships with stakeholders from a technical point of view
• Support the Country Operations Manager in the formulation of budget proposals related to production and maintenance costs
• Coordinate the several corporate depts. in order to maximize productivity, efficiency and service to clients
• Check and manage production and maintenance costs
• Guarantee the correct management and maintenance of plants
• Guarantee optimization of energy consumption and exploitation of raw materials
• Check and validate production reports
• Collaborate with the CTO area personnel in the process of permanent improvement in matters of:
• production costs
• energy and raw materials consumption
• Manage relationships with the plant’s trade unions representatives in accordance with the Group’s policies
• Ensure professional development of the technical personnel to be appointed as Plant Managers
• Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
• Promote the Corporate Principles and Values
• Maintenance budget
• Number of direct and indirect collaborators

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical is preferred.
• Experience working in a paper mill, or with converting equipment, is preferred.
• Must be able to analyse manufacturing operations and perform capacity analysis to identify obstructions.
• Must demonstrate the ability to promote a safe working environment.
• Must have strong technical fundamentals with converting engineering skills.
• Knowledge in MS Office, ERP, and Manufacturing System is Preferred.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in plant and warehouse areas.

PPE includes safety shoes, eye and ear protection, reflective vests, and hairnets or hats.

Variable temperatures in the plant/warehouse.

Exposure to paper dust and noise levels requiring hearing protection.
