Job summary

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, seeks a CNV Project Automation Engineer to join our CTO organization. This role supports automation across converting operations, focusing on the CNV project to enhance efficiency, reliability, and standardization.

Responsibilities include designing automation for converting lines, AGVs, and warehouses; PLC/HMI integration; troubleshooting; commissioning and validation; data analysis; and complying with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC programming including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, HMI systems, and industrial control systems.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Availability and flexibility to travel up to 50% as required to support project implementation and operational needs across facilities.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical requirements and project scope.
• Assist in the integration of PLC, HMI, and control systems within manufacturing operations.

• Support commissioning, start up, and validation of new equipment and systems.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support standardization of automation practices across facilities.
• Maintain technical documentation related to automation systems and projects.
• Availability to travel is essential for this position in support of project implementation and operational needs across facilities.

Position Overview

We are seeking a CNV Project Automation Engineer to join our Chief Technology Officer organization.
