Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Test Engineer to design and execute automated tests across telephony and networking hardware, producing test plans, verification matrices, and clear results.

The position requires a current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance and cannot sponsor or nominate for security clearance. Five years of test engineering experience and a related bachelor's degree are required; four years may substitute for a degree. Strong Python skills and CI/CD tooling are essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four additional TE years may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Description Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms. Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality. Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts. Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results in a clear and concise manner. Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and test summary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Five (5) years\' experience with being a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems. Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TE experience maybe substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

• Python development (preferably using virtual environments)
• Experience with Python test automation frameworks (pytest, others)
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Experience with version control software like git and subversion
• Experience with common networking protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, Ethernet) and protocol analysis preferred.
• Shall have knowledge and experience in three (3) or more of the following:
• System Requirements Analysis
• Software System Design
• Software System Development
• Software System Integration
• Software System Testing
• Experience in four (4) or more of the following:
• Developing software applications in C, C++, or Java
• Developing software applications for Unix, Linux, or Windows environments
• Developing DLLs for the Windows environment
• Development on computer telephony platforms using computer technology cards such as Dialogic
• Object-oriented programming
• Working knowledge of common protocols/standards such as TCP/IP, SNMP, H.323, X.25, 802.11, 802.16, SIP, MEGACO, or MGCP
• Web development, with proven knowledge of XML, php, mySQL, ColdFusion, or Apache
• Script writing using Perl, Python, Bourne shell, C shell, or other proprietary scripting languages
• Database experience with Sybase, Oracle, or Microsoft
• Reverse engineering and analysis of software
• Kernel knowledge of Unix (Linux)
• Bit-level data analysis
