Job summary

Clinical Magnet seeks a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services within an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. You will lead patient-centered care, collaborate with medical, clinical, and therapy teams, and drive quality initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes development of nursing programs, staffing models, and accountability across the nursing department, with opportunities for bonuses and merit increases

Qualifications

• RN license required in accordance with state regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; advanced degree preferred where regulations allow.
• Advanced degree or equivalent knowledge; CRRN certification encouraged within eligibility period.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of inpatient hospital experience; 2 years in nursing management within last 5 years.
• Experience with 24-hour nursing accountability, budgeting, policy/procedure development, and disciplinary processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to foster patient-focused culture.
• Develop and implement nursing programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as nursing representative on hospital committees (Governing Body, Quality Council, etc.).
• Lead quality, safety, outcomes, and patient experience improvement initiatives.
• Foster inclusive, accountable workplace; motivate and develop staff.
• Ensure staffing aligns with patient acuity, budget goals, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze clinical data to identify improvements and wellness programs.
