Job summary

The University at Buffalo School of Nursing invites applicants to apply for a full-time 12-month CNM program faculty position. The role collaborates with program leadership, clinical liaisons, and preceptors to educate students and ensure ACME criteria compliance.

The CNM faculty member will teach didactic and clinical courses, supervise students, participate in site visits, and contribute to accreditation efforts while advancing midwifery scholarship and service.

Qualifications

• PhD or DNP from a regionally accredited School of Nursing, or actively enrolled in such program.
• Maintain current American Midwifery Certification Board certification as a CNM.
• Current New York State Midwifery license.
• Minimum 5 years’ CNM practice.

Responsibilities

• Classroom and online didactic teaching.
• Mentor, supervise, and evaluate students in clinical and simulated environments.
• Assist during admissions process with student review and orientation.
• Participate in program evaluation and accreditation activities.
• Identify and evaluate clinical sites and maintain preceptor relationships.
