Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) to lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of nursing-focused clinical information systems across its academic health system. This leader partners with the CMIO and Nursing leadership to ensure voice of nursing drives Epic EHR design, adoption, and continuous improvement across 16 hospitals, 750+ care locations, and statewide telehealth.

Qualifications

Current RN licensure with eligibility for SC.
Bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's preferred.
7–10 years of progressive nursing leadership, including 5+ years in clinical informatics leadership.
Deep experience with Epic implementation and optimization; certification preferred.
Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale EHR governance, clinical workflow redesign, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy, governance, and optimization of clinical information systems supporting nursing practice and interprofessional care.
Partner with CMIO and Nursing leadership to align technology with nursing care delivery and outcomes.
Oversee Epic governance, optimization initiatives, and clinician education across MUSC Health's system.
