Job summary

MillerKnoll in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to program and operate woodworking CNC machinery, contributing to precise part production. The role requires 3–5 years on CNC equipment, a background in woodworking, and strong skills reading blueprints, interpreting CAD/CAM data, and ensuring quality through measurements.

This is a multi-shift manufacturing position with enterprise benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a CNC operator.
• Background in woodworking preferred.
• Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills.
• Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery per SOPs.
• Read blueprints and determine tooling and sequences.
• Translate instructions into machine commands.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Conduct test runs to verify outputs meet specifications.
• Set machines to complete full cycles for part fabrication.
• Supervise operations and adjust for quality improvements.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance.
