Job summary

MillerKnoll is hiring a Machine Operator – Wood to program and operate CNC woodworking machinery, including finishing and assembly of components. The role requires reading blueprints, translating instructions to machine commands, and ensuring output quality through testing and daily maintenance.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or related woodworking background, plus proven CNC experience and skills in precision measurement and CAD/CAM.

Qualifications

• Two year associate degree preferred.
• Background in woodworking field preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC operator preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Measurement tools and precision measurement experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform a variety of tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications.
• Translate instructions into machine commands for correct function.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Conduct test runs to verify outputs meet specifications.
• Set machines for full production cycles; supervise and adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished products and ensure quality and completeness.
• Maintain machines daily to ensure optimum performance.
