And our success allows Knoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.**Position Summary**The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment used to manufacture high-quality wood components. This position ensures products are produced safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting company quality standards and production schedules.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Set up and operate CNC routers, machining centers, and related woodworking equipment.* Load materials and programs into CNC machines according to production specifications.* Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and production schedules.* Verify machine settings, tooling, and material dimensions before production.* Perform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections using measuring tools.* Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.* Replace tooling and perform routine machine maintenance as required.* Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance or supervision of major equipment problems.* Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.* Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and waste reduction.* Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and other production team members.**Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED required.* Previous CNC machine operation experience in a woodworking or manufacturing environment preferred.* Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.* Basic computer skills and experience entering production data.* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.* Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.**Physical Requirements*** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.* Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.* Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday.* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to wood dust, machine noise, and varying temperatures.* Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience operating CNC routers using woodworking software.* Knowledge of CNC programming fundamentals.* Experience with cabinet, furniture, millwork, or architectural wood products manufacturing.**Success Factors**The successful candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, consistently produces quality work, maintains reliable attendance, communicates effectively with team members, and takes pride in producing precision wood products that meet customer expectations.**Who We Hire?** Simply put, we hire qualified applicants representing a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
