Job summary

MillerKnoll, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to program and operate woodworking CNC machinery in a hands-on manufacturing environment in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on translating blueprints into machine-ready setups and ensuring parts meet exact specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of CNC experience, a woodworking background, and strong math and measurement skills, with familiarity in CAD/CAM and basic programming concepts. Flexible shifts and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience as a CNC operator.
Background in woodworking field preferred.
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Mechanical aptitude and excellent math skills.
Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate all CNC machinery assigned according to SOPs.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and data to determine tooling and processes.
Translate instructions into computer commands for machines to execute.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
Conduct test runs to ensure outputs meet specifications.
Supervise machine operations and adjust for quality improvements.
Inspect and measure finished products for conformance.
Maintain and monitor machinery and tools for optimum function.
Follow shop floor controls and safety policies.
