Job summary

Randstad Staffing is hiring a CNC Waterjet Operator in Bloomington, MN for a nationally recognized manufacturing business. This role ensures all equipment and processing areas are maintained in a safe, clean condition while veritifying that finished products meet struct qualtiy control standards.

Responsibilities include set up, operation, and maintenance of machinery, inspection of materials, and data logging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years machine operation experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic math, reading and writing literacy required.
• Proficiency with handheld measuring tools required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain processing machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect, and verify raw materials prior to processing according to work order specifications.
• Execute setups safely according to written setup notes and customer job orders.
• Conduct regular quality checks during machine operation to ensure accuracy and output.
• Verify products against setup notes and record sampling measurements.
• Operate weighing scales and log inspection measurements.
• Use handheld measuring tools and maintain them in good condition.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
• Input and delete material identification tags per work instructions.
• Complete production logs and reconcile yield data.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Communicate order changes or clarifications with sales.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience.
• Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Core Competencies:
  • Basic math skills.
  • Reading and writing literacy.
  • Proficiency with handheld measuring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience, particularly in the metals industry.
• Prior forklift experience and operation.
• Basic computer literacy.

• Communicate with sales representatives regarding order changes, updates, or clarifications.
