Mid Continent Engineering in Minneapolis, MN seeks a CNC Machinist to set up and operate vertical or horizontal CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components with precision.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC machining experience, ability to read blueprints, and Epicor ERP exposure; 2nd shift is 4 pm to 2:30 am with a $2 premium. Competitive wages and benefits included.

Responsabilités

Salary Range: $28.00 To $36.00 Hourly

Mid Continent Engineering is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team! We are looking for a candidate that has horizontal CNC set-up experience.

This is a 2nd Shift- 4 pm to 2:30 am-Monday through Thursday opportunity. There is an hourly shift premium of $2.00, an hour.

Summary:

This role is responsible for setting up and operating vertical or horizontal CNC milling machines to produce high‑quality components with precision and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

• Interpret drawings, sketches, and design data to determine machining dimensions, cutting paths, tooling requirements, speeds, and feed rates.
• Set up and operate vertical or horizontal CNC milling machines.
• Perform progressive machining operations on standardized parts with tight tolerance and finish requirements.
• Inspect and verify first‑article parts, often completing full production runs.
• Adjust or revise CNC programs to correct errors or omissions as needed.
• Conduct trial runs to validate taped or programmed instructions.
• Report any product or equipment abnormalities promptly.
• Monitor and maintain coolant and chip levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required; a two‑year technical degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions.
• Experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus.
