Job summary

Pentair is hiring a CNC Machinist for the White Bear Lake, MN location. The role involves setup and operation of CNC equipment (metal and plastic), inspecting features for quality, and adjusting tooling.

You will work in a lean, safety-first environment with 1st shift hours 5:00am–3:30pm, Monday-Thursday, with overtime possible on Fridays. The position requires reading blueprints, using micrometers and height gauges, and Cad/CAM lathe programming (Gibbs Cam preferred).

Qualifications

• Be able to set up and operate basic, manual metal fabrication machines.
• Be able to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments.
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• High school diploma/GED required; 5+ years of related experience.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes with live tooling and manual equipment to ensure timely flow of parts.
• Cad/Cam lathe programming; Gibbs Cam preferred.
• Adjust machine and tooling to maintain product quality.
• Perform routine operator maintenance including tool sharpening and oiling.
• Read and interpret machine shop blueprints.
• Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers and height gauges.
• Work in a lean manufacturing environment prioritizing safety.

We have an opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our White Bear Lake, MN team. You will conduct setup and operation of CNC equipment (Metal and Plastic) This will include inspecting machined features to maintain quality and making adjustments to the tooling. (CNC Lathe and Vertical Milling)

You will:

• Operate CNC lathes with live tooling and manual equipment to insure timely flow of parts through the machine shop.
• Cad/Cam lathe programming, Gibbs Cam preferred
• Make adjustments on machine and tooling to maintain product quality.
• Performs routine operator maintenance that includes: tool sharpening, machine oiling, fluid level/air pressure checks, safety switch functioning etc.
• Read and interpret machine shop blueprints.
• Use measurement tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gage, bore gage, and attribute style gages.
• Work in a team based lean manufacturing environment where safety is our number one priority.

Key Qualifications:

• Be able to set up and operate basic, manual metal fabrication machines.
• Be able to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments.
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• High school diploma/GED required. Prefer Associate or Technical Degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and work 10 hours a day and be able to lift up to (50 lbs.)

Position Hours/Shift:

• 1st shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday
• Must be open to working overtime if needed on Friday.

Environment:

• Climate controlled manufacturing facility.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $33.00/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
