Job summary

Nemco Food Equipment, a family‑owned manufacturer since 1976, is seeking a machine operator to set up and run CNC vertical mills in a production environment. After a brief training, you will contribute to producing quality parts and meet productivity standards.

Candidates should have machining experience, be able to read drawings, and handle measuring tools; the schedule is 3rd shift with an initial training period, potential overtime, and physical requirements include standing and lifting light

Qualifications

• Machining experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts.
• Strong eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity for repetitive operations.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC vertical mills.
• Load parts manually.
• Verifies dimensions of machined workpieces with micrometers, calipers, gauges and indicators.
• Studies drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Detects equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts as required to ensure quality.
• Reports machine malfunctions to supervisor and coordinates with team.
