Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an experienced CNC operator in Morgan Hill, CA to run vertical and horizontal mills on the day shift. The role requires setting up and programming to produce high-precision parts while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, understand offsets, and inspect parts for cosmetic and dimensional defects, working collaboratively with the team to solve problems and improve processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC milling experience.
• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot from start to finish.
• Read blueprints and interpret features accurately.
• Inspect own work for cosmetic and dimensional defects.
• Understand offsets and cutter compensation.

Description

The CNC operator should have 3-5 years’ experience operating Vertical or Horizontal mills.

Skilled machine operators must be reliable and easy to work with, have a positive attitude, and have good communication and organizational skills. This person should be capable of high-precision work, while acting as a team player. Day shift employees work Monday through Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM.

Requirements

Operators should be able to manage a job independently after set up from start to finish with little to no supervision and have the required trouble shooting skills to solve problems before resorting to escalation.

Must demonstrate the ability to understand a blue print; comprehend a part and its features from the print

Must be able inspect their own work and demonstrate attention to detail when inspecting parts and recognize cosmetic defects. Demonstrate understand the types of cosmetic failures.

The Machine Operator should be capable of high-precision work, while acting as a team player.

Must have previos CNC Machine Operator experience
