WALCO Tool & Engineering in Romeoville, IL is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to produce high-precision components with pride and craftsmanship.

Set up and operate CNC vertical mills, read blueprints, follow work instructions, and maintain tight tolerances while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC vertical mill setup and operation.
• Solid blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to follow written work instructions.
• Working knowledge of G & M codes.
• Experience with materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys.
• High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.
• Standard measuring tools required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mill machining centers.
• Load parts, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in operations.
• Perform contour milling, drilling, boring and tapping.
• Interpret blueprints to produce high quality parts.
• Maintain tight tolerances; inspect work for conformance.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as maintaining coolants.
