Job summary

Aerotek currently seeks a CNC Turret Punch Press Operator for 1st and 2nd shifts in Rolling Meadows, IL. The role involves setting up and operating turret punch press machines to produce precision sheet metal components in a temperature-controlled environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years in CNC/punch press operations, strong blueprint reading skills, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with calipers/micrometers.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints or engineering drawings to determine machine settings.
• Ability to interpret GD&T symbols and tolerances.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turret punch press machines for drilling, tapping, reaming and related operations.
• Load materials and secure workpieces, ensuring proper alignment and clamping.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to meet production requirements.
• Monitor operations and make minor adjustments for accuracy and quality.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers/micrometers to confirm tolerances, ±0.0002.
