Job summary

Kelly Services in Wood Dale, IL is seeking a Direct Hire Turret Punch Press Operator to set up and operate Amada turret punch presses to produce quality parts per blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, dimensional inspection, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Hours: Mon–Fri 6am–4:30pm + Saturdays as needed; pay $22–$28/hr with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience operating turret punch press machines, Amada experience strongly preferred.
• Experience performing machine setups independently.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools and maintaining quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and run Amada turret punch press machines, including the AE 2510NT and EMK 3612.
• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, machine adjustments, and material loading.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, work orders, and production specifications.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality.
• Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and production issues.
• Monitor production to maintain quality and productivity expectations.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, leads, Quality, and other production team members.
