Job summary

Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is seeking experienced CNC Turret Punch Press Setup Operators for light gauge sheet metal. The role requires setting up and operating a CNC Punch Press and reading blueprints.

Shifts include 2nd and 3rd with overtime opportunities; hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $28.00 depending on experience. Ideal candidates will be able to perform multiple setups per shift, handle short and long runs, and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating a CNC Punch Press for cutting light gauge sheet metal is required.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and read work orders.

Responsibilities

• Basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machine and work areas.
• Work with maintenance and repair technicians to diagnose equipment problems as needed.
• Continuously monitor machine cutting performance and efficiency and make adjustments as needed.
• Read material tags & work orders, selecting correct materials.
• Locate and move raw material and parts with pallet jack or forklift.
• Count and record daily production activity.
• Separate cut parts from scrap.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean working environment.

Job description

Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc., has immediate openings on 2nd & 3rd shifts for experienced CNC Turret Punch Press Setup Operators for light gauge sheet metal.

Experience setting up and operating a CNC Punch Press for cutting light gauge sheet metal is required.

Hours 1st shift -7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 12:00 am & 3rd- 10:30 p.m to 7 a.m, Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities. Hourly rate $20.00-$28.00 depending on experience.

Requirements:

Successful applicants must be able to:

• Produce sheet metal parts by setting up and operating a CNC Punch Press;
• Perform machine setup including program retrieval and tooling setup;
• Start up and shut down machine;
• Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently;
• Perform multiple setups per shift, for short runs and longer production runs;
• Knowledge of turret punch press tooling, how to change & maintain;
• Proficiency checking accuracy of work using blueprint and precision measuring tools such as calipers;
• Experience with material loading automation;
• Edit G code;
• Work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples for prototype production.
• Be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;
• Be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant;
• Have excellent attendance.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to :

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs throughout the shift;
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean working environment.

Experience in a sheet metal job shop /contract manufacturer is required!
